Top 10 Best Bollywood Movies 2022
1. K.G.F: Chapter 2
KGF: Chapter 2 is the sequel to the 2018 film KGF: Chapter 1. Now Rocky, his name just strikes fear all over the Kolar Gold Fields – and with good reason too, there’s blood everywhere! Even though his friends all look up to him, the government sees him as a threat to the law.
Rocky has to fight threats from all angles to stay on top, you know? He’s like a hero to the people of Narachi – their savior. But while he’s trying to keep his promise to his mom, man there are obstacles. Big ones too, like Adheera, Inayat Khalil, and Ramika Sen.
It’s not going to be easy for Rocky to keep control with all these forces working against him. But you know he’s not going to go down without one hell of a fight. I’m really curious to see who he’ll have to face off against and how he handles all the challenges coming his way. Looks like it’ll be an intense sequel!
2. RRR (Rise Roar Revolt)
The action and drama in RRR is just insane. I mean, they took some real historical figures and just amped everything up to 11. All while weaving in an emotional story of friendship. No wonder it made over $150 million at the worldwide box office!
And the crazy thing is, it’s still getting recognition. RRR scored two Golden Globe nominations, one for Best Foreign Film and another for the song “Naatu Naatu”. That song is such a banger too.
Netflix added the Hindi version in late May. Within days it became the streamer’s most popular movie from India globally. Dude, everyone was talking about RRR. The scale and spectacle of it really drew people in.
If you’re looking for an epic movie that will keep you on the edge of your seat, you have to check out RRR. It’s a must-watch whether you’re an action fan or just love great storytelling. I can’t stop thinking about it weeks later!

3. Vikram
The new movie Vikram, Kamal Haasan takes on the role of Arun Kumar. He works for India’s foreign spy agency, RAW. Now Arun, he doesn’t mess around – he’ll do what he needs to get the job done. And bad guys better watch out, because he doesn’t show any mercy.
The big bad guy in the film is played by Vijay Sethupathi. That dude is one of the biggest stars in Tamil cinema. And they also got Fahad Fazil in there, he’s huge in Malayalam films. Fahad takes on a really important part too.
So with Kamal Haasan bringing the tough guy action, Vijay Sethupathi as the villain, and Fahad Fazil in a major role, this movie Vikram looks like it’s got some serious star power.
4. The Kashmir Files
The film tells the story of what happened to the Kashmiri Pandits back in 1990 when they were forced to flee their homes in the Kashmir valley. It stars some big names like Mithun Chakraborty, Anupam Kher and Darshan Kumaar. The director, Vivek Agnihotri, really brought their painful exodus story to life in a heart-wrenching way.
I heard the movie has been a huge hit at the box office too. It made over $252 million in India alone! Worldwide, the total collection was around $340 million. It’s crazy to think an independent film with such a difficult topic could drum up that kind of money. I think a lot of people felt it was important to support a movie that shed light on an issue that hasn’t really been addressed much in popular culture before.
You should definitely check it out if you get a chance. Even though some of the scenes are really hard to watch, it provides an insightful look into a dark period of history that more people should know about.
5. Kantara
Directed and starring Rishab Shetty, this movie blew up as soon as it hit theaters. The story and acting really resonated with people I guess! It features Rishab alongside Sapthami Gowda and Kishore Kumar G in key roles.
Word has it that Rishab is already gearing up to start on the next chapter. I’m not surprised – with the massive success of the first film, how could he not? People clearly want more of whatever made Kantara so special. It’ll be interesting to see where he takes the story next. Fingers crossed the sequel is another big hit!
6. Major
Major is this movie about the life of Sandeep Unnikrishnan, directed by Sashi Kiran Tikka. It stars Adivi Sesh as Sandeep, with Sobhita Dhulipala, Prakash Raj, Revathi and Murali Sharma in important roles too. The film tells the inspiring true story of Major Sandeep Unnikrishnan and his journey.
It did really well at the box office after releasing in theaters. And when it later came to Netflix, people also liked watching it there too. Major Sandeep was this hero who sacrificed his life during the 2008 Mumbai attacks. So the movie honors him and its always great to see a biopic do well, especially when it’s about someone as brave as him.
7. Rocketry: The Nambi Effect
Rocketry: The Nambi Effect came out in theaters on July 1st. It’s the new movie starring R. Madhavan and it’s been getting great reviews from both critics and audiences. Madhavan not only acted in it, but he also directed, produced, and wrote the screenplay.
The movie tells the true story of Nambi Narayanan, a scientist from India who worked with rockets and space stuff. Madhavan plays the lead role of Nambi Narayanan and does a fantastic job bringing his story to life on screen.
You can now watch Rocketry: The Nambi Effect online too. If you want to watch it in Telugu, Kannada, or Malayalam, you can find it on Prime Video. And it’s available in Hindi and Tamil languages on Voot Select. So lots of options to check out this acclaimed film even if you missed it in theaters. Definitely worth a watch to learn about this important scientist and everything he went through.
8. Sita Ramam
Dulquer Salmaan and Mrunal Thakur shine in the romantic drama Sita Ramam. The film, which also stars Rashmika Mandana, was first released in Telugu, Tamil and Malayalam. It later got a Hindi version too. Directed by Hanu Raghavapudi, Sita Ramam tells a beautiful story of love overcoming war and boundaries.
The movie is set in 1964. Lt. Ram is an orphan serving as an army officer along the Kashmir border. He receives love letters from a woman named Sita Mahalakshmi, but never sees her. All Ram has are the heartfelt letters that give him hope. With only this connection, Ram is determined to find Sita and tell her how he feels.
Despite being on opposite sides amid conflict, their story shows how humanity and love can bring people together across any divide. Through Ram and Sita’s tale, the film highlights that relationships matter more than politics, religion or borders. Dulquer and Mrunal shine in their roles, fully embracing the emotional journey. Supported by Rashmika’s performance, Sita Ramam presents a meaningful message during difficult times.

9. 777 Charlie
777 Charlie directed by Kiranraj K and the star of the show is a Labrador named Charlie. He does such a great job in the title role. The movie also stars Rakshit Shetty as the main human character Dharma. A few other actors you may recognize are Sangeetha Sringeri, Raj B Shetty, Danish Sait, and Bobby Simha.
The film has a nice mix of adventure, comedy, and drama. It follows Dharma, who seems to be stuck in a bit of a rut. His lifestyle is pretty negative and lonely – he just spends each day on his own. But then one energetic pup named Charlie enters his life. And boy is this dog naughty and lively! Charlie really gives Dharma a new perspective on things. It seems this pup is just what Dharma needs to break out of his lonely routine.
I don’t want to give too much away but it’s really charming to watch the bond that develops between Dharma and Charlie. The movie does a great job showing how an animal can positively impact a person’s life.
10. Ponniyin Selvan: Part One
Aishwarya Rai Bachchan’s new movie Ponniyin Selvan 1 was a huge hit with audiences! The epic historical drama takes place in the 10th century in Thanjavur and is based on the classic novel by Kalki Krishnamoorthy. Aishwarya plays a key role alongside some major Tamil stars – Vikram, Karthi, Jayam Ravi, and Trisha Krishnan. Even famous veterans like Prakash Raj, Sarath Kumar and Parthiban have important parts.
From what I’ve heard, the film does an amazing job of transporting viewers back in time and capturing the drama, action, and intrigue of the Chola dynasty during that era. The costumes and production design alone must be incredible to behold. It’s so cool when an acclaimed book from the past can be brought to life on the big screen like this.
